Thinking

I am not in the mood to knit, for now. I kinda am, but kinda not. What do I do? Do I knit? Or not? I probably will end up knitting, so it isn't much of a choice. Upsetness

Wow. I was just reading Yarn Harlot and now I feel like a slacker. The ideas were fantastic. Any knitters out there, close your eyes. I mean it. I am ashamed. I feel stupid, silly, dumb. Seriously, knitters CLOSE THE EYES. I... didn't.... knit... my... Christmas... gifts.... I am a failure. Instead, I made certificates for my friends and family.

Here are a couple of ideas for last minute gifts for knitters:

Calendar with yarn as pictures, needles, etc.
Certificate saying "Best Knitter Ever"
Coupons for time

Failing stinks. Don't forget it. Do not remember this after Christmas. Next Christmas will be different. I guarantee it.

Softball...

Your yarn demoiselle is going to go to a softball game and play. I love soccer (notice I did not say sports or soccer and softball). I am pretty sure you get the point. Softball lovers, look away. Baseball players? It is your choice. I don't like softball. I know this is obvious, but softball is nothing like soccer. I thought I would enjoy it. But I don't. I would almost say I (look away again...) hate softball.
Now to knitting news. Your yarn demoiselle has not had the urgency to take photos yet. I almost want to keep it a surprise. I have a bunch of squares done. I am going to take photos tomorrow.

Busily Knitting

Hello, friends,
I have been so busy! School has ended and I have not finished Fire Socks. You could say they are an UGH! (ugh knitting version, worst knitting could be, has something very wrong with the piece.) They are too itchy... Right now I am working on a bag.... But I should tell you what I finished. I was working on a hat and another hat (look at the links, they show everything.) Right now I am working on a bag. That's what your yarn demoiselle is up to.

Update

I turned the heel for my Fire Socks today! :) I've been doing the gusset decreases. Then, off to the foot!

Needles

First, we (me and Mom) went to a yarn shop a knitter recommended. (I don't remember the name, so sorry!) They were very nice and my mom bought the square double-points metal 0's she's been talking about and hated them.

Then I went to softball practice and CHACHA (one of my dogs, the other is Snowflake. I'll show you pics soon.) CHEWED TWO OF MY DOUBLE-POINT NEEDLES! My Fire Sock ones. We shall pause for a moment for grief for your yarn demoiselle. I can't knit on my fire socks until TOMORROW! That is hopefully when my mom will get new ones. I'll have to knit on my Leftover yarn scarf.

I'll live. Hopefully.

I'm going through a growth spurt. So as soon as I finish it, it'll probably be to small.



Either way I should knit as fast as I possibly can.

New And Improved Knitting Blog

My last blog was Knitting Forever, but that was horrible! I like the name. Whenever I talk about knitting, I will try to say, "Your yarn demoiselle (young girl in French) is..." Cool, right? I hope so!
